Hmm. In the first poll, composed of 131 people, 33% were Christian, leaving 67% non-Christian.

In the second poll, 11 people out of 22 declared Christian beliefs.

"Christian" held a plurality, but not a majority, in both polls. Secondly, with just over 43,000 members, neither "poll" can be considered representative - 131 or 22 are both incredibly small samples.

Yes, I am being a statistical-weirdo. If we are to debate things, I just feel it is important we are debating based on real facts. When Sam declared that DP was majority Christian, it simply struck me as odd - since I see so many of so many faiths, or non-faiths, that contribute regularly. So far, I don't see any reason to question that doubt.

While I agree they're small samples of DP as a whole.. but when posted in the p&r forums.. i'd say that gives a decent representation of this sub-forum's posters.

 

I'm not sure that DP isn't predominantly Hindu.

We just don't see so much of those guys in the P&R threads.

 

First of all I would like to thank all the members who have stood up and spoke up for Sammie when petty mockeries were being made my menj1980 and leet.

Aslo I would like to say that Menj1980 you should be banned if not banished from forums where you can not keep pesonal feelings to your self.

I find that attacking some one while unable to speack for them selves is distatful of any nature. I dont want to hear about who started it and who didn't if this is what you think of Sammie I asure you you have no idea nore will have any clue what kind of woman she really is or what she does for others.

Also im quite surprized that you haven't been banned yet why the mods have not actioned something yet is beyond me but as a forum Administrator and mod I wouldn't allow this activity to go on with out punishment of some kind.

I also find that your arigence is misplaced if an one should be joining a ban list it should be you.

So in closing I really don't like you leet or Menj1980 for that matter. And just keep this in mind my name isn't by coincident, Big Brother is watching and i can asure you we'll be keeping a close eye on you and your actions.

Yes, perhaps (perhaps, given the sampling problem) but this was what I was saying - the statement was that DP is majority Christian in membership, a strong statement. I simply asked for proof. That there may be a plurality Christian only means that there may be more Christians than any other single group - but if there are, for example, 100 groups, that isn't saying much.

Is it me or have people neglected to notice 2 points.

1) Leet seems to be threatening to take someones site offline, the only possible way he could do this would be illegally.

2) He claimed to result in blogger being closed for an hour, which again I can only assume would be possible illegally. Can anyone confirm whether blogger was down or not yesterday, if it was, I will be oh so happy to contact googles legal department with leets contact details

I respect samantha for standing up for her beliefs, I too often find myself arguing in political debates when it comes to Islam, and I think it is discussting that she has been banned and members who have been threatening and it appears involved in criminal activity have been allowed to stay.
