No(about the page rank theory), they fixed little bit their bots ;)
I'm getting indexed also websites that I'm currently working on with zero backlinks (or at least I think zero) ;)

My blog god fully indexed within 3 days if its registration(i mean the domain + two pr3-4 links).. Absolutely * page, even dublicated pages :)

My new site was indexed in 3 days - I didnt make submission to google - it was indexed by links (only 10 links till now). But subpages werent indexed. Anyway, I think google is improving.

Perhaps Google has tweaked its search algorithm to improve things over the last few months.

How many pages of your new site were indexed? The entire site? I find that difficult to believe.

I bet google indexed your home page (index.html) and that's it.

I'm not having any luck with Google. Infact, some of the sites which were doing good on G before have slightly dropped in rankings and are not getting indexed / spidered regularly :( Don't know whats happening now.

I don't notice any change. My site is PR3, 5 months old, but only 20% pages were indexed.

june 27th google dropped all my traffic yet according to sitemaps it's crawling the site almost every day, so being crawled a lot doesn't mean anything.

I think everyone should be happy as long as there is no volatilty in indexing of pages i.e. from 90% indexing one day to 20 5 the next to use a hypothetical example.

Actually, it seems the DE-indexing is much faster now... I am losing 1,000 pages a day over the last week. Again.

I think different sites are seeing different levels of Google "love".

I agree 100%! I have googlebot eating up bandwidth all day long, but for whatever reason - it is removing pages from the index.

I got a PR5 for my blog while it was still on blogger. When I moved it across to my own server it went back to 0. Its been around 2 months now and still no movement. Is there anywhere out there with a simple explanation on how they work?
