I have a domain name. Should I sell it?

I have registered a domain name FacebookTrick.com which looks good, focuses a single topic, is short and easy to remember, I guess. I purchased it to set up a blog with detailed informative posts about different tips, apps, games and different business topics regarding Facebook. But unfortunately I'm now very much busy as I have a lot of projects in my hand now and I have no time to develop the website. You may find some information about this domain here- (whois.domaintools.com/facebooktrick.com) .

It would be highly appreciable if you become kind enough to help me to decide whether to sell the domain including the price I may get. And please feel free to share whether you want to buy the domain. I have no fixed amount in my head, just want to conver the registration cost. And I hope someone buys it and make the best use of it! And it has a dot com extention and the exact phrase has over 70,000 monthly searches on Google (Source by Adwords Keyword Tool). So, if you manage to get some links, a lot of traffic will be there for you! And I hope the domain will make the task lot easier as it has the keywords. :)

    Thanks,
    Shafin, waiting for your help.

I think you should develop it as a blog and then sell it.

Aha! I think you've got the thing wrong. As far as I know, if you use the word fb, fbook or facebook with other words and if it is not degrades their credibility, then they're not going to complain about it. You can make yourself more clear reading the threads here- (thefacebookforum.net/t10692-facebook-domain-brandpermissions) . And if we search Google, then unofficial sites like AllFacebook.com, FacebookFlow.com always get the pioneering positions. And what name can we give to a site which is entirely on Facebook?

Anyway, thank you for your replies. I was really willing to help other Facebook users. And I think the one who buys it use it for the same purpose!

    Thanks once again,
    Shafin!

I have a domain buy4bids.com that I think would be great for a penny auction site. I am in a similar situation should I sell it?

I think if domain name belongs to you and you you have no idea what to do with that domain name and you have good offers from people intersted in that domain name you can sell that one for sure.

Thank you everyone for your answers. But how can I find buyers without investing any money? I'm ready to sell this domain just to ensure it's proper utilization and compensate my costs. Is there anybody who is willing to buy it? Any good price you ask! FacebookTrick.com . :)

I have looked (nolo.com/legal-encyclopedia/cybersquatting-what-what-can-be-29778.html) and read the article and came to a conclusion that-

Unless the domain name is registered with a bad-faith intent to make profit from the trademark, unless it confuses with the main domain....the person holding the domain is absolutely safe. So if you buy the domain FacebookTrick.com, post legal tips, news and state with bold letters that - "This website is not affiliated with Facebook" or such..., I hope it won't hurt Facebook in it's journey.

We all love Facebook and that's why we want to build a site to help its users! :)

If you don't have time you can sell but never expect much more from public since it's just another domain and .net/.org are also not taken.

I mean you can sell it in such a way that your expenses get covered.

Yes spujap, I'm just selling it for that not to make a profit from it. Just want a proper utilization. But according to http://whois.domaintools.com/facebooktrick.com, it has history over 5 years and it has also a .com extension so the value of the domain is perhaps a bit more. Anyway, I keep your suggestion and would be glad if anyone takes his control over it just with a common price! :)

And, estobot.com values it as $220 but .net as only $15. So there might be something.... :)

@spujap Do you know about any place where I can find a perfect buyer who can make the proper use of the domain? I would be ever grateful to you!

    Thank you very much,
    Shafin!

Well ... if you really don't have enough time to do with that, sell it ... the question is how much you want to get from it and how much other are ready to pay )

I expect any good amount from the buyer. But the problem is who is going to be my buyer whom I'm going to sell this domain not to make a good deal of money rather to ensure this domain's proper utilization! Can you help me in this regard?

Ya your domain is a good one but to get good price search for some of the best domain market place in Google. You can list them for sale in Sedo.com and AfterNic.com. May be you can lower the price slightly say 30% less and some one might buy instantly. Best of luck.

Throw up a 'for sale' site and see what happens....

Problem is, without traffic its just another domain name.
