I have 78.36% Bounce Rate.

I have 78.36% Bounce Rate as per Google Analytics. I wonder what it is, I see it is marked red on my reports. If its a bad thing, how do I improve on it?

Its not too high, necessarily. It could be that all your traffic is coming from Stumble and just clicking through pages with the "stumble" button. It depends on lots of things. It could be that one page is driving up your whole site.

I imagine the BR is so high because you have a really slow loading time and most of the top fold is taken up with ads. It looks a little spammy. Try getting some content up the top with meaningful headers and see how you go.

80% is very high, ideally u want it to be less then 40%, preferably even below 20%.

If people dont have something to look pictures, videos or whatever other
then the google ads they tend to leave quickly.. (hence your high bounce rate)

Also get rid off that template and get a nice one if you plan on keeping the site...

I think this bounce rate is not a major problem for me. My site is an informational, and seasonal site. My aim is for users to view at least one of my posts.

Anyway, I have some other good data from Google that I wish to share:

Benchmark: 14,183 (+112.36%)

They are right, your site about video and find nothing at your main page.. Putting atleast 1 Featured Video on your main page will help you a lot.. Also you need to get a nice template and since your site is more on Videos use only Image Ads on your Adsense to increase your CTR too.. Ayos!

 

More quality content is the way to reduce your bounce rate. When your visitor feel like to read more, then the bounce rate will reduced
