Have u thought of moving to a place like north carolina or arizona(especially north carolina) where the cost of living is very very very low and u can get a great house for 65k? I plan on moving to arizona one day only because my body has a hard time producing its own bodyheat.
never brother. i am a pure city guy. i grew up in new york city and i could never imagine myself living anywhere besides new york. and plus i live with/take care of my parents and my siblings and they will never move either. the reason houses are so cheap down there is cause no one wants them. supply & demand. i could sell my house right now and probably make 400-500k$ after everything and i could probably buy a mansion down south but there is no point.
why dont you do private tutoring? i started teaching kids when i was 15-16. i used to charge $15/hr and i taught 3-4 kids at the same time. you should try that
try investing a part of it in stock ipo's recently nymex gave good returns, pick top companies only to invest.
i was thinking about an online car parts store. i have a local distributor/wholesaler here in ny whose prices are really good. i coudl sell lower than ebay price and still make profit (even though i wont sell lower than ebay) but i dont want to spend too much money on it. maybe $10k?
Did you read my post? Hope you did. I always have the greatest idea and the lowest funding at the same time.
Personally if it were my money I'd either by real estate (buy to do-up and sell on or to rent out) or put it in an index tracker fund. In the UK we have an option to put upto 7k (GBP) into these funds tax free... Ah, I dream of having these types of decisions to make! Good luck, p.
Probably the best advice given here, if you are in the UK. I will offer to double it in 2 years (- costs) subject to appropriate conditions or return the capital 100% if I can´t complete my commitment. 100% through lawyers. 100% guarantee on capital. PM to skype me. (Upper limit of $20,000 investment) Otherwise: buy stocks in Uranium: PM me for advice.
There are very few places in the US that are worth living in at $65,000. You will be in the sticks. Sorry!
You can put that as a down payment in our high end ecommerce platform and have a real business. Forget the 1000 cookie cutter template platforms out there. Or you can buy an existing business but 100k is probably not enough to buy anything decent.
Might I suggest, not just investing it into a business, but also putting some in a mutual fund. My partner has one, and within just a month, and with only 4,000 in it, we had already gained over 1,000 dollars back on the Mutual Fund. If your wanting to start your own business, software distribution is a good one. Because it allows you to market both offline and online as well so that your not limited to just one area.
