4,753 names. Thanks for the help. A lot of them are Geo names with a good feel. If anyone knows the best venue to use in order to sell the portfolio.... Let me know...

    Thanks again,
    D.G.

If you own that many names, you are probably aware of these, but just in case:

You can use the the sales forum for domain names here:
forums.digitalpoint.com/forumdisplay.php?f=59 (sorry, live links not availabe to me yet)

You might also try some other forums: Namepros, DNForum (paid subscription), SitePoint.

Depends on the names and extensions. There are specific auction sites for some extensions, .in/.co.uk/.me etc.

    Good luck!

awesome!! Thanks bro. I really appreciate the help. How do i let people know what all the sites are. You can only have so many characters in a thread in most of those forums. If that makes any sense let me know. Thanks again. I need all the help i can get.

I like to change things up for my own personal interest. I am also relatively new to the "game" If uniformity would make things easier for people, i will keep that in mind. Thanks for the input

check out RickLatona.com - huge domain broker. Unless you have premium domains or premium geo's, he wont bother with you.

Mark, Thanks for the tip. You are the first person to mention that source. I am exploring that option as we speak. I think it's worth a shot.... I highly appreciate the advice.

Use one of your websites to list the domains (by category if you can). In your posts, run an auction (or auctions) for several dozen- enough to provide a choice.

Domain brokers will only acquire premium portfolios- even moreso in this market. If you want a quick and dirty idea of the attractiveness of your names, try DomainScore.com.

I know of some reputable brokers that will handle a couple of hundred names and list for you on the boards. Feel free to pm me if you need more info.

Thanks again man.... I am exploring that option right now! Would it be weird if i used www.babyitemslist.com to list the domains???? Secondly, The only reservation i have about using a broker is that i would not get the satisfaction of figuring out how to do it myself ;) You are right though.... This could be the way to get it done. You must be a pretty good person in "real life".

    D.G./D.S.

P.S. I really dont know how to work the auction system just yet. If this venue falls through i will definitely try it.

Yes, based on the time until renewal, I would recommend that you do it yourself. An important aspect of listing a bunch of names on a forum is your reputation- don't expect a lot of interest unless you spend some time contributing to the boards. That's why I suggested a broker (who will also do a lot of "due diligence" prior to accepting a client).

If you do spend some time on the boards, list you domains in the "fixed price"
or "make offers" section, unless you have a very specific premium name that you wouldn't mind taking to auction. Otherwise, managing an auction on a large list of names can be very time-consuming and confusing.

Have you tried selling directly to end-users? You have so many geo-style domains, maybe put ads in Craigslist to your targeted geo?

    Good luck.

Once again you have given me another legitimate venue to explore (Craig's list). The funny thing is.... I was actually cold calling people in my area with any kind of relevance to the domain. With little success.... However, if all else fails i will go back to my guerrilla marketing skills, or lack thereof. Thanks again bro. Ill keep you up to date as things progress.
