Hi. I'm a programmer and a designer and i have 1000 dollars for a new website. I just want to know what website can i build with 1000 dollars but with maximum revenues.

A good web site typically cost more than $1000, I would suggest since you are a programmer and designer to do the programming and designing of the web site yourself and use the $1000 to promote your web site by buying back links etc to improve your SERP as well as PR.

hey man, there are websites like elance.com where you can get people to do the work for you really cheap. they bid on your project and tell you how much they'll do it for. you can also start with a basic template from sites like joomla.com which will give you a good base to start from and they are free. thrillseekerhass

Just because he say he is a programmer and designer it doesn't mean he is any good at marketing, you could build the best site in the world but if you cant promote or market it no one is going to see it. If you are a good programmer, develop a website that's truly original and something that will appeal to ALL internet users, spend your $1,000 on marketing, link building etc and hopeful in a few years time you could sell your site to Google for $20,000,000,000

Well, I'm a very good programmer(php, css, things like that), and a creative designer but i don't know how to promote my site and to be honest a have a lot of alternative for website but i just wanted to know which one if better to start for someone like me?...I was thinking selling my creations. Another alternative is to offer to slide PSD to HTML/CSS (I'm very good doing this). So, what other idea that generate more money do you have?

You can build amything you want. The problem is what do you want to build, why, what's the purpose? Throwing money out the door can be done but if you want something that you are going to benefit I suggest you sit down and jot some ideas down
I have several sites that I could part with. I think we could speak the same language because I was where you are a year ago and started doing the SEO thing. So I have quite a few sites that are geared for SEO that with little knowledge transfer could sell you a site and you could use it to copy/paste multiple sites using the same, self-managing format to make the new site. Just buy domains, copy the format, write the content. Many went right to PR2 at Googles first ranking and get daily traffic. Then you just have to play to get the sales converting. I created more sites than I can manage right now so I am willing to let some of them go. PM me for more details if interested. By self-managing I mean that sitemaps are created dynamically and everything is held within a config file. Header and footer includes allow you to make changes to the entire site easily and when creating new pages, you simply copy the template to a new name and done. All menus and sitemaps are dynamic and updated automagically (well its called PHP!) Let me know
I get the feeling that promotion, seo, and website stuff isn't your thing. Since you are a good designer and prgrammer you still have a good hope. I recommend looking for a partner who obtains opposite skills as yourself. Maybe you and him/her can spitball and come up with a site yourselves. This way you won't be left in the dark with yourself. They also can stop a possible mistake you make and vise versa. If you jump and spend 1000 on DP or anywhere on a site you will get burned.
