I have 1,400 fans on FB all targeted through specific niche on advertising WHY?

As mentioned in the headline 95% of my fans are targeted through people who like 8-10 pages that are related 100% with my page?

Why are my posts only reaching 8 people at a time? That's .005% of the actual fan base?

I really don't have as much fans as you have, but I do notice that my publications on Facebook reach only a very small percentage of my followers as well. I'm not sure why either.

I understand that Facebook has recently put in an algorithm to steeply decline the reach. But .005% for posts to the fans is just down right greedy. I've moved onto to other social medias. Facebook isn't nearly the commodity it used to be. Especially if your only reaching pennies for every $100 bill!

It's all about engagement and if people aren't "engaged" your reach declines dramatically.

As a user I think it sucks - I'm forever changing my view to "most recent" because I want to see everything, not just the top stories. If I've liked a page I want to see every f'ing post they make. If they are dull or irrelevant I'll either unlike or unfollow - I don't need fb deciding for me.

This has been going on for years - the algo might be getting tougher but it's nothing new. And you won't be the first person to decide that twitter or instagram give a bigger bang for their buck.

Thanks Sara yes I knew the Algo started getting at it's very worse at the end of last year. They say it's all about competition and how the average newsfeed can only take 1,500 newsfeeds a day. B.S. It was just fine before they started realizing how big pages were growing and needed to get greedy.

My page is on inspirational and motivational quotes. I'm doing nothing different then the power houses in the same industry on FB. FB is monopolizing the entire industry.

How did you get these fans? Naterually? Buy them? Contest? This might help to find a solution to the problem.

Have you tried sending out messages at different times of the day? I find that about 8pm (GMT time) in the evening is the best time for me to post. :)

If you just want to get inspirational and motivation quotes out, Twitter is probably a much better platform for you. If you earn followers on Twitter, you earn audience members, unlike FB.

It's really starting to sound like a LOT of people are having trouble hitting reach. I'm not the only one. It's really becoming an monopoly.
