Whats so hard about setting up a WP blog ? make a db, a user, join them, upload the WP files and run the install ?
It may be easy for you. How many times have you done it? This is my first time...and I am finding it difficult...yet I am still trying. I'm not a programmer or really down with anything where I have to know code or some server or database crap to operate it. I usually just use canned s*it, you know, like Blogger, but the world seems to think WP is sooooooo great, and I am just trying to keep up with the virtual Joneses. Sorry for my tone, I am just really frustrated...I thought this would be a simple transition, and it's really not, and I'm don't like feeling like an idiot...because I'm not. Oh...and by the way, people, I am a woman. That might explain a lot...how many of you were sitting there scratching your head going, "What a whiney drama queen!!!" Well, there ya have it. So...no more "he"s and "man"s...I was getting worried about a pat on the ass and a "Good game, man". Anyway, all of your help is much appreciated...rep given to all helpful posts. My blog is set up...I've even imported my posts. I am having probs with finding the right Adsense plugin. I'm also concerned about how much time I am going to have to sink into getting this blog to where I had my Blogger blog...like with my widgets, etc. It's just not as user-friendly, that's all. What does my free webhost really have to do with anything....the s*it is hosted, it's up and running...I have installed 2 Adsense plugns, and neither of them do what I want...so I am whiney and frustrated... Plugins schmugins....like...I just want it to work now.
I have had some difficulty getting all the plugins to work for me. If you need help pm me and I will see if I can figure it out.
Can you please tell us more details about the problem that you are facing ? Maybe you would want to read a guide to install wordpress at http://www.flamescorpion.com/2010/0...start-your-website-right-away-with-wordpress/
your situation looks bad. Actually its not that hard at all. Upload your wordpress files, change wp-config-sample with your database details and save it as wp-config. This should work.
