:D Yeah a problogger on FREE stuff that doesn't require a genius to set it up. :D

I'm attempting to move my Blogger over to WordPress.

Ok, so...I've got hosting, I've got WordPress downloaded and unzipped. I went to their 5-minute install...for the last hour. LOL I feel like an idiot.

My hosting is free, but no ads. I have 15GB, with 50GB bandwidth. I have FTP access. I tried configuring that to no avail. I just have no idea what I'm doing, but I want to learn.

Know of any helpful step by steps? I'm Googling.

I should have just sprang for one of WordPress' hosting partners with that one-click install, but I'm broke and cheap.

And MySQL skills as well probably, huh? *smacks self* You know, 7 bucks a month for a one-click install isn't bad...I may just have to wait. I do have MySQL in my package...and the other requirements listed on the WP site. I'm going to have to study up on how to use them.

I think InsaneGB.com (free hosting) offer Fantastico (one click install of WordPress), not sure though, I know they have cPanel...

I'm checking it out right now! It lists Fantastico on the hope page under free signup. *signing up* Nothing to lose, it's free, right. Are you pretending to study like I am pretending to work? ;) I'm so going to get fired. LOL

One more question...does WordPress.org have the import feature for Blogger posts like WordPress.com?

Rep added to all...thanks for your help!!!

I have world press and it was an easy 1 click install...used the fantastico that comes with the cpanel.

Although I know your pain since it says there is an upgrade available and I have no clue how to do it and won't even attempt it...lol

If you sign up with a web hosting like Bluehost (check link in sig), there is a one-click install feature where you can install WordPress in literally one click. Signing up with a free host is a very bad idea, especially for a blog.

Bluehost has very reasonable prices...unless you have no money like me...and I mean literally...no money. So a free host is the most feasible choice right now. It *could* be a bad idea if one is not smart about backing up their files, etc. I'll just have to be careful. :D

No money at all? Then how do you eat? Where do you live? You have to have SOME money.

I spend all my money on food, a place to live, etc. I don't have surplus right now...that's the whole point of attempting to make money online. It would be nice to go out and have fun once in a while....or buy things online.

ARGH!!! I hate f*cking WordPress. Everything is a f*cking act of Congress to implement. I can't get Adsense on it. I don't have any of my widgets on it yet...because well, act of Congress. Maybe non-technical idiots like me should just stick to Blogger...everything is so much easier there.

    ARGH!! I'm mad and frustrated!!!
