I hate the new adsense setup, can I change it back?

I hate the way it is now, I can't change the colors in my own site code and I can't see my channel id number, or is that what google_ad_slot means?

With some sites I use similar templates and I just want to change the colors to match and my channel id, which I usually do with a simple find and replace through the entire site code, but now it seems I have to log into google adsense evey time I want to make new code, and I have to make new code for every spigging google ad format on my site... or am I missing something and just being a Luddite?

Edit: and I can't delete these new channels by the looks of it, or change their dimensions after they're made, so any mistake you make will just pile up and make a total mess in your adsense control panel.... and the "new" channels don't show up on your channel list so I can't get the channel id from there either. Oh wait, yes they do right at the bottom...

    Okay, here we go...

I don't think you can see the channel ID number (correct me if I'm wrong anyone).

Secondly, to make changes, yes, you do need to keep logging in to Adsense. On the one hand, this makes it easier.

If you didn't know, you can import your old adsense code here: https://www.google.com/adsense/adslot-import . That means you just need to paste the code into the box and call it a name, and you'll have the newly generated adsense code :)

    Hope I helped!

    Thanks,
    Jake.

I don't like the new set up either..First of all, the channel, for me it's kind of confusing, it the ads code show the channel name, it will be easier to regconize....and everytime you make change, you have to wait a few minutes.!
But it's ok though, as long as they pay lolx

It says 10 minutes, but the changes take effect much faster (to me within 1 minute it took changes).

so far i have copied old code, pasted it, then changed size, channel, and colors manually. I hate the new thing too.

No, not at all sorry. I already know all that, but the facts is I have two or three different add formats that I use for each channel, so importing them wont help at all. I have like 130 channels, but with this new system it would mean making a whopping 390 different codes!

I found the new code system frustrating too. It needs you to keep logged on to Adsense all the time. With the older setup, I used to work offline (off-adsense website) most of the time.

I believe they have tried to make it easier so that you make changes to the saved code on their website and the changes show up everywhere you have added the code but most webmasters use includes and this wasn't very necessary really.

To me it makes no difference because either way, I had to login to my FTP, download then re-upload the file containing the code. Now I can just login into AdSense and change it which comes out to around the same or a little less work.

i just keep the old code, and since they say u can still use the old code. You can just use any old code u have and edit the color/size/text/image etc (just becareful ...)

I am keeping all the old codes, of course. It is just that I was working on a new website yesterday and needed to make new channels and get the codes for them that I stumbled upon this new format.
