So you want to portray yourself as professional by using a false company name? You can't just make-up a business name. You need a business license. Paypal is in the right to tell you to place a legit name on your account.

 

You can make up a business name as a sole trader in the UK without requiring a business license. The same is true in many other legal systems around the world.

 

For me reversals are the biggest problem. It is so easy to have a payment reversed with an online transaction, all they have to do is claim unauthorized transaction and bam. I've lost over $1000 in ebay payments this way. Thats why I don't consider the money in my paypal account real money

 

I wish I knew this when they took my $1000, I had to wait 6 months for it

 

I had a similar problem too. I bought a website for $4000 on ebay and when I paid the money to the seller, PAYPAL put a hold on the funds in the seller's account. Seller had to refund the money and I later sent it in smaller parts. Though it was irritating, I had no other option. If it wasn't for paypal, I could never have completed the transaction.

 

I use to use ebay a lot but have cut back because of their PayPal antics. Making people sign up to ebay by forcing them to sign up with PayPa, making Autralians use it with no other choice, charging us Brits something stupid like 3.4% and then cancelling your auctions if you try to add on the 3.4% to the auction.

have you set debt cards up cause there's loads that arnt haveing this problem i got premier somehow and i have $10000 in evey couple of months hmm wonder why am not limited

 

I have been using PayPal for years, and I have finally tired of their BS. I have had my account limited, waited for months to get MY MONEY released from their grip, and dealt with their crappy customer service for too long. I have started a PayPal Complaint website because I hate PayPal so much. If you use PayPal, be aware that they can and WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY if they deem so fit to do so.

I have given them so much money in fees yet received so much mistreatment from PayPal that it makes me sick to think about it.

Yes...as a website seller...I can't do nothing if I got fraud buyer...I lost my website and also my money...Paypal just hold my account..and finally my account had minus balance !!!! They just said that no protection to intangiable seller !!! its really suck to me...

 

I really hate paypal too, last week they limited my account, i have about 1500$ in it and i can't withdraw only after 180 days, i really hate that...

 

So I am guessing that you followed their procedure and completed all the relevant legal paperwork then?

Like I had to do when they restricted my account.

I just followed what they said, they unblocked my account the next day.

 

that's what i did, they didn't answer me yet, their customer service sucks, i am just waiting...

 

also i just want to know, paypal knows about all of these threads made buy users, sites made especially to complain about them, they surely have spys every where, why they don't do anything??

You're lucky then, most of us complete their ridiculous dog and pony show of paperwork and still have to wait months for some account manager to get off their hind parts to maybe help you.

We've been a verified member for 10 years and have been restricted at least four times for incredibly lame reasons, each time resulting in weeks or months of restriction despite concerted efforts to correct the problem.

 

I lost over $6000.00 to those maggots at PayPal.

Both accounts are currently limited after receiving over $3000.00 in payments because they deemed it suspicious. Give me a friggin' break! I'm tired of them also.

 

Now you guys got me scared.

Are they limiting just the big purchases?
I have taken in quite a bit in a day but it is usually in smaller orders of $100 - $150 each.
I use their debit card to purchase wholesale products and pay for any business related activities because you get a 1% refund on purchases.
I withdrew everything from their money market because it was crashing.

 

One time I had to file a dispute about an item I bought on ebay with paypal. Paypal told me that I needed to file a police report and that I had 24 hours to do so before they closed my case. Luckily, I knew the police so I went down there and they made time for my little case. I filled out a police report and faxed it to paypal at the number they provided. The next day they closed my dispute and said that the OTHER person whom I was filing a dispute against had to get a police report for the dispute to have been continued so they closed it.

What? Why would the other person file a police report knowing that if they didn't they would win the dispute? It made absolutely NO SENSE AT ALL. Luckily, the person I was dealing with was kind hearted and when he saw that I was serious (after filing a police report) he issued me a refund anyway.

 

I've never used Paypal for 3 months recently. I hate it

 

I never recives a big amount to my paypal account. I hate it.
