This is a simple arithmetical trick. You are just multiplying the first 3 digits of your phone number with 10000 and adding the last 4 digits to it through a series of arithmetical calculations and ultimate result shows your phone number. To understand the trick, just assume that you have only 5 digit phone number (so you have to do calculations with 1 digit only) and the first digit is 1. Now the calculations will be as under:

1 x 80 = 80
80 + 1 = 81
81 x 250 = 20250
20250 + y = 20250 + y where 'y' is last four digits of your ph. No.
20250 + y + y = 20250 + 2y
20250 + 2y -250 = 20000 + 2y
(20000 + 2y)/2 = 10000 +y

So you are just multiplying the first digit or number in case of 7 or 8 digit phone numbers with 10000 and adding the last four digits to it resulting your phone number.

There are many tricks like this.

(1) Assume you have 'some' bucks in your pocket, you may assume any number for 'some'. You borrowed from Mr. 'x' the same amount you are having in your pocket. Your mother gave you $10. You donated half of your funds to someone. Then you returned the borrowed money to Mr. 'x'.
"Now you have only $5".

(2) $1 = 10 cents x 10 cents = $1/10 x $1/10 = $1/100 = 1 cent
