Hello.I designed my website myself with no ready made blogs e.g wordpress. Now what i see on google that my website is way back in result behind those stinking free blogs.I really get angry.I worked really hard and spend good amount of money on my website and now wht i see is that free blogs are ahead of me. and yes my site has enough backlinks also but still My site is in the signature. If anybody could help?? Its really unfair to webmasters like me.
It makes no difference to search engines if your site is on a free blog or your own domain, it's all about the quality of your backlinks. You have some backlinks, but most are considered low quality (forum signatures, facebook profile). That is NOT "enough" backlinks. Your site is also new - google gives older sites more weight - it can take a year. It would also appear that you are displaying copyrighted content on your site. Even though it might not be hosted on your site, it's enough to get your adsense account banned. Review the adsense TOS.
Yahoo is kind enough to put my site in top five rankings but google doesnt consider my site important.
You have a link for movies (new york) a which has been deleted - but make sure all movies are allowed to be displayed. Same for music. There are also a lot of broken links and missing images on the site. Google and Yahoo are completely different sites. Ranking well with one has nothing to do with the other - they use different algorithms.
I would shorten the length of your site title. Your website seems to present a lot of different types of information, maybe that could cause problems?
Low in SERP's - you hate search engines, High in SERP's then you're in love. You may have worked hard, but apparently there is more to be done. Make sure you do on-page SEO for your targeted keywords. As far as the "free blogs" go...that is just a fact of life...blogger is owned by Google you know. And how old is your blog? The older a site is, the more it is trusted to "stick around", therefore it gets better treatment. The web is a pool of "fly by night" websites that cannot be taken seriously until they have been around for a while.
Search engines don't really care if you have designed it yourself or you are using free templates. That is not amongst search engine ranking signals. Search engines really care about the quality of backlinks, content, neighborhood and stuff like that.
Although you did put in effort, It is apparent that the site is done badly. I mean images are stretched, iframes are popped in at random places, coding is not up to par and the interface is simply horrible. You have to put a better effort into it if you want it to be on top of google. Maybe hire an SEO expert, and a web designer. Complaining isn't going to help and treating algorithms like people won't either.
Being a noob is something that can make you hate the SE for your incompetence ... This ain't good "Free E-books" Download free mp3 It's ilegall ...
Search engines are not meant for promoting only paid sites or blogs. Even if you have too many backlinks then also it do not means that your blog will be highly ranked. You need to make sure that your competitors do have less incoming links than you. Check all the parameters of those blogs and then take necessary action.
No, it is NOT unfair. What would be unfair is for you to bump older sites out of the way. Your not going to open a site, and in a few days or months bump a site out of the way that has been online for 3, 4 or 5 years. In 2 - 3 years your site is going to be ranking well just like the others. It takes time to rank well in google, lots of time.
Your site is too new to get high ranking in google, keep on working on it and you'll slowly will get higher.
Your site is far too young to even get a glimpse. You need to do some research and carry out more learning about the whole process before you start ranting and raving about this and that. It's not Google's fault. Google ranks pages in terms of age, quality backlinks etc as others have previously mentioned. Why don't you leverage the sites with high PR like Ezine Articles and Squidoo? Write a few SEO articles that's on topic with your site and you'll find that those articles/squidoo lenses will be on page one on Google (if you do it right) and they'll also link to your site so the visitor will get there if your articles convert. This is how I'd do it and it is the way I do it for my small niche sites that are used for affiliate marketing. Hope that helps.
Build more backlinks, unique content and target the low/medium competition keywords, and your blog should start to rank well. It is all a matter of time My 1 year old blog just started to drive in some good dough recently. Patience is a virtue my friend!
Hello... Well it took initiative to do your own site and salute you for that but now you just need to learn proper on and off SEO so that you can rank well in all engines. thx M1
I think your site is still sandboxed by Google and hence it does not show up in the top search results. Be patient and don't apply any black hat SEO techniques to the site. Within a few months, you will see improved results in Google.
