I hate fluid designs. Am I a bad person?

    Well, you are kinda right, but in order to make the text easier to read, its better place images inbetween the paragraphs and use better fonts. You may use different colors and background, etc.

    but as one of the users of the forum said, he didn't buy his monitor to use hald of it.

    so what sizes are people designing for these days and how do you even begin to think in those terms?

    When I browse websites I don't really care if it's fluid. I just want it to be pretty and easy to navigate.

    When I make websites I don't like fluid either.

    i like to keep my pages static because even if the user has a huge monitor, it makes for difficult reading having to read text all the way accross the entire screen.
