I hate fake link exchanges!

    How many of you get the e-mail to exchange links and they show you the page they will link to you from (or already have) but then you go to the home page and start searching only to find the page is an orphan and has no PR or faked PR?

    I am tired of the automatic link exchange programs on top of that! They want a good link for something that is more like a link farm page link.

    I have almost completely given up even reading the emails.

    example of the latest orphan:

    http://www.bestbathstore.com/othersites/Shopping/Tools/index. php

    Nope, don't think so but one can never say with google. It certainly is better the simple reciprocal links as only max 50% of the backlinks can be from sites you point to, so 50% are one way links.

    i thnik the best way is not using automatic link exchange programs. i'm finding peoples to make link exchange on forums

    I hate when I get those emails myself. However, I still read all my emails since once in awhile a do receive a genuine request from a quality site that I am happy to exchange links with. Personally, I don't like to use any type of automated exchange programs, I prefer to do it on my own.

    I get a lot of that crap...

    They say my link is in danger of being removed since they've sent me 3 warnings so far... funny I never got them...

    even on this forum, we should take care there are still some link farms always ask for link exchange.

    I think we shoud link with real Pr pages, not more than 20 external links, text links without nofollow tags, and related content.

    These so call website are call spammer.

    Not all links are counted by Google. For instance, they filter out links from known link farms. Some links can cause a site to be penalized by Google. They rightly figure that webmasters cannot control which sites link to their sites, but they can control which sites they link out to. For this reason, links into a site cannot harm the site, but links from a site can be harmful if they link to penalized sites. So be careful which sites you link to. If a site has PR0, it is usually a penalty or the website is new, and it would be unwise to link to it if has been penalized.

    Well,I use a automated automated link exchange program,but yes sometimes you really do get junk,but on other times you maybe get one that's worth it to link to.So it is not really wort it to use a automated link exchange program,imho.
