Anybody else dislike these guys? They nabb all the good names as soon as they drop from ICANN and then they try to turn around and sell them for ridiculous prices just wasting away the potental of the domain name because no one is going to pay for it and the longer its down the less important it is. for example, they have a domain for sale at over $30,000 and really its only worth about $2,500-3,000 if it was sold on this forum or anywhere else. The domain is just sitting there rotting away and its actually not even as popular as it was back in like 2004.
just another business trying to bank from their incredible investment. Thats how big business generally works. And yes its get annoying when I search for expired domains and see that they own a large majority with their parked page.
I've purchased domain name from them once, and I found out that it was worth it. Waste of money. Just have to move on.
This market here isnt exactly the market they are targetting. They are earning major $$$ from PPC and then end user sales to boot.
Some of their prices do seem a little ridiculous, but that must be making sales otherwise they would have changed their pricing point a long time ago. They would have thousands of names in their portfolio for sure, so they would only have to make one big sale now and again to see good cash flow. And your claim that they get all the good names from ICANN when they drop is false, they have just been in the business for a long time now and have built up a solid portfolio.
