    Well, if you can get good rank just posting 1 to 2 times a week. It would simply mean your published posts attracted good amount of backlinks from time to time and eventually show on first page of Google search result.

    There is nothing to discuss about it. I think hard work always pays. Its all about unique content and proper title and description for posts. As he write 3 posts a day, I think its very hard work.
