Lol david you always make me chuckle, even when you don't mean to. I just read the story properly...wowzers
I lived, for nearly two years, in Magallanes Village near Metro Makati when I was still in high school. This was back in 1980. Back then, it was such a wonderful place to grow up. There was never anything to fear from anyone anywhere. I used to ride my bicycle through Metro Makati all the time on the way to the International School. Even on weekends, after they opened a Duncan Donuts, my friends and I would ride over there and eat at Shakey's Pizza and then go over and get some donuts. At least that's how I remember it. I'm sorry to hear that the Philippines is having to suffer the narrow minds of terrorists. I'm glad you are safe and uninjured. My thoughts will be with you and your family.
Glad to here your okay Melfan. It's forums like this that make the world feel like a much smaller place.
Hey -- I'm new here but wow... I read all of this and am glad you're ok. I can't believe the scary stuff that happens out there. Glad you're okay! Someone must be lookin' out for you.
Thank you all for the concern. I was so paranoid these days when im riding a bus. As our gov't says "dont let the terrorism affect you lives; always be vigilant". The other bad news is, tourism industry is expected to be down due to travel advisory of UK, NZ and AUS. But ofcoz we can't blame the gov't of these countries, there are just protecting there people.
Hmm, the people that were dead was on your bus? If they were, you are very lucky to be alive. I may be new here, but i'm glad you're ok.
I understand the feeling. The smell of toasted dead people are more worst. Othe r victims cannot be recognize and no one is claiming.
Geez. The world is going crazy. First Rafik Hariri and now this. What is happening? Melfan, I am so glad you are fine. Take care
How exactly can you be vigilant on a bus when there's no time to react? What a nightmare! Hopefully things get better.
