First of all I made this thread due to my curiosity , If I'm wrong please correct me instead of getting angry for accusing legit seller.

Well recently (day before yesterday ) I saw 2 "bulletin sellers" ( different threads) are selling "bulletin" in myspace

Something made me curious , I asked " how reliable can it be? " and " How effective can it be? " They can give me a confident answer - Around 10-20 . For your information my site is a forum .

I paid someone for this "selling bulletin" thingy once , I got like 50 new members in my forum , days later , all 0 post , and I found out ALL THE MEMBERS ARE FROM THE SAME IP!

    20
    ------ times 100% = 0.05%
    35000

35k friends , only 0.05% of them are interested? is it possible?

I'll make first seller as "A" and second seller as "B"

    -------------------
    I asked A , "What's your myspace name"

A replied " I am not telling you incase you report me"
    -------------------

I asked B " Can you show me one of the bulletin that you've posted? "

B replied " I'm sorry I can not expose....."( Extract from the sentence)
    --------------------

I asked A " How could you managed to get so many friends? "

    A replied " Sorry I cannot tell"

    --------------------

I asked B " Why do you think I can get only 10-20 new members ?"

B replied " Forum is harder to get members , maybe they doesn't like your content"

**** He said "MAYBE they doesnt like my content" but how could he said 10-20 , instead of 100-200? see , 35k is really a huge number

    ---------------------
    HERE IS THE MAIN POINT!!!!!!!!!!!

I asked B again " Your recent buyer got 10-20 new members , and my forum will also get 10-20 new members , why the range will only stay within 10-20 only ?

    B replied " That's just my prediction "

AND THAT MADE ME MORE CURIOUS
    --------------------

I guess their "friends" are themselves or some of their friends from different country , when buyers pay them , they , or their friends will just go to that site and hang out for a while.

    What do you think?

It's just that.. believing someone that doesn't have any proof to show you that their real

I would tend to believe that the myspace 'friends' were all generated by an autoinviter script and that those 'friends' have been bulletin spammed before, thus they're starting to filter those more and more. Just a guess.

I know from personal experience and using a real account with real friends.Only about 10 or 20% read bulletins. Then about 5% to 10% actually visit your site.I've done myspace marketing for a year now.I suggest text links and advertising even if you have a myspace related site.

Dang, I was just searching for a thread like this. I have bought on 2 different occasions from different DP members myspace bulletin ads.

Both had tons of friends and I received zero, zip results :( Both were pretty cheap so, no big deal.

I guess these users have been spammed so much they just ignore the bulletins.

Myspace users are bulletin blind. It's the most spammed part of the site.
