I guess I touched off some nerves

I made this post recently to my blog. It made it to the front page of Digg and really touched off some nerves. Either they love the post or they hate me and everything I stand for.

So I figure I would ask what you fine people think of it.

Hopefully no one here will tell me to choke on my own blood like one of the comments did.

    Whoa tough crowd!

Just remember: some people are not ready to be unplugged yet.
I'm still working on unplugging myself. :D

Good article. It reflects the type of conversation I have with my brother about people being wage-slaves.

You definitely hit a raw nerve, bearing in mind lots of people sell their lives for a few dollars an hour just to scrape a living. No wonder there was venom in some of the comments - frustration mainly, I guess.

    Good article.

But the masses aren't ready for such insight.

I don't know why anyone would "choose" to work for anyone else (unless perhaps the job in question was pr0n star or something.)

I've been trying to get my own business going for a while now, this adsense gig seems to be my best bet as it merges well with the skills I have now.

I'd suggest your next post should be "Stupid salesmen are smarter than you". It takes a lot of smarts to create a system to make a box to put a computer in and much much more to get the connections in the chip down to a couple angstrom but the electrical engineers annual salary equals the monthly commission that the cardboard salesman makes. It doesn't make sense but that's life.

The geek moral of the story - sell traffic to Google, CJ, etc.
