I hope DP is happy. I spend so much time on here that I forgot that my basement likes to flood in the spring. It was about 5'' up.
Damn, that really sucks man- sorry! It's happened to us a few times when the power went out during some huge storms. I finally got a battery backup for the pump.
that sucks big time..i used to live in basement (not my parents' and basement is the only thing i can afford back in the day.) there is a huge drain right outside the front door. It was working well when we first move in..but one day it decided to stop working and we have water of ankle high in the house..the sofa, ps2 and everyother thing that i left on the floor is wet...
Yeah, it was pretty nasty. I do have an automatic pump its just it doesn't run all winter long and then when I needed it to run the lever thing was stuck. I don't hang around down there, though. Its an unfinished basement.
