I guess google changed their results page?

I don't like it nearly as much, how they have that side column on the left for news and images... etc. What's the deal? This a permanent change? Or is it just me.

Well I noticed one change today, although not sure if it is *new*. I was searching for some football related terms, ended up searching for 'football' on google.com and it a section at the bottom of the top 10 results...

    Searches related to: football

    With 8 related terms.

There are spyware/malware/etc programs that emulate the Google interface and introduce a new column or section with their affiliate links firmly embedded in the page. I've been hit with one in the past that had a left hand column of 'results'.

Run the usual gamut of spyware/malware programs and see if you're still seeing the same results.

The only change I see is the list of "Searches related to:Keyword" on the bottom part of the results page.

Damn, yea it's definitely something with FF, because when I go to the IP that I am resolving as www.google.com I don't see it. When I go in IE, I don't see it...

If it is spyware.... that really sucks since I logged into adsense recently... don't know how that would work... hrmm...

Apparently it's a cookie, they are randomly trying out or something, according to the article. As soon as I changed the PREF cookie, it went back to normal. How bizarre.
