I guess EzineArticles doesn't like subdomains?

This is kindof funny because I have gotten away with it before.

when you use a sub domain, and put a redirection to my affiliate site in it, ezinearticles, doesn't like that.

mysubdomain.mydomain.com cannot redirect to yourclickbank url?

Problem: Sorry, we do not accept articles which contain affiliate or distributor links.

it must be a distributor link?

How about when someone uses Blogger? Isn't that a subdomain as well?

Last time I checked they accepted it without problems. Could be that they "may" have a problem with a subdomain of your own site, but are still okay with a subdomain off of a Blogger blog -- subdomain.blogspot.com

I also noticed a couple articles that had a subdomain link cloaked within a keyword phrase anchor text. Seems like a selective thing when some things slip through the cracks while others are flagged up front.

I think it's the redirection they don't like. I think they want you to use the actual domain to forward to it. I think it's pretty stupid.

Like the reader is going to go straight to the sponsor if the main domain forwards, so why is it such a big deal to make a subdomain redirect?

If a competitor or editor should find those links once the article has been published they will flag it as a problem article.

They will reject articles with direct affiliate links. It is ok, however, forward/redirect to an affiliate link from the top-level of a domain name you own. For example, it is permissible to forward to an affiliate link from:

    your-company-name.com/

...but it would not be permissable to forward to an affiliate link from:

    your-company-name.com/page.html
    your-company-name.com/subdirectory/
    your-company-name.com/subdirectory/page.html

They would accept something like this (not mine) rather than a re-direct
