I got warning email from google

I have recieve today an email from adsense giving me a warning, they said I have tried to modify the google adsense in my site and they give me the exact URL of the problem they mentioned and I was shocked because the site is not mine and don't even know the owner of the site.

If this is the case, I am starting to believe those people crying here that they don't do anything bad or click their own ads and google banned them. Because people that hates, envy you or competator may do this to get you ban.

here is the email I have recieved from them:

Are you meaning that the site Google has mentioned is not yours?

If you're asking me if I am displaying pop-up, pop-under in my sites, no I don't and I never get tried to advertise my sites from popup and popunder site also.

As I said the site they mentioned is not my site

using target=blank is allowed because it only opens up a new windows, and not the ads in a pop up window

Yes that's what I understand also that is the reason I use it. But if someone confirm that this is a violation then I guess I need to remove all those target=blank in my links

Did you add 'target=blank' to your Adsense Ads or just in your other links ? I don't think they can penalize you if you did not modify any of their codes in any ways.

If however they wrote to you about something you have not done, tell them about it. I guess the people at Google's are playing gods and passing on judgement when there is none.

If you're not sure what's wrong with the page, take the ads down and ask them what's wrong with it.

You just need to get in contact with Google support and find out what needs to be done if the site isn't yours. Can you go to that site and see if they are using your google adsense #?

I've heard of this type of thing before. Do you know who owns/runs the site that Google mentioned? Perhaps they are trying to get you banned from AdSense by making "you" violate the ToS, or maybe it was just an honest mistake (like if your pubids are similar), but I doubt that it's unintentional if they copied and pasted the ad code like they were supposed to.

Edit: Nevermind what I said. Three posts were made while I was typing this up. :p

The reason they didn't just ban you and just banned the site was hopefully because they checked the whois info of the domain! Of course it's best to E-mail them back leting them know it's not your site!

Was the site yours sometime before ? Because I find that some of the sites I've sold months ago still had my PUD in there because the current owners did not change them. Anyways, I believe I got all of them handled already.
