    Hi,

I received a message entitled "Changes to sitelinks for http://www.mysite.com/"

I'm not sure what this means. Please advise me on this...

    The message contents are here:
"A verified user has blocked or unblocked sitelinks for this site: http://www.mysite.com/.
The links shown below some sites in our search results, called sitelinks, are meant to help users navigate your site. Our systems analyze the link structure of your site to find shortcuts that will save users time and allow them to quickly find the information they're looking for. The process of creating Sitelinks is completely automated, but if you think that the sitelinks displayed for your site are inappropriate or incorrect, you can block them so that they no longer appear. ...I saw that long before your post.

    That is not he issue.

But what has Google done to my SiteLinks? Can't see why they'd do anything to it and unsure whether they've done something good or bad.

site your site in google, if you get sitelinks, then its good, if its blocked, then check the content on your site again, make sure its not missing something. ( usually no content or 404 page)

    You mean:

    site:www.mysite.com ?

    I get links for that...

I don't think I have 404 errors. Nor do I have repetitive or other "bad" anchor texts that could bother anyone.

Can't understand what Google wants to say or what they've done to my site.

Quite ambiguous: "A verified user has blocked or unblocked sitelinks..."

Not sure whether blocking or unblocking has any influence. Whether I should rejoice or become nervous.

I wasn't using the sitelinks feature manually, haven't touched it. All I am doing is uploading the sitemap and taking good care of my links manually. 100 % Google Terms-compatible.

    I can't understand what's going on...

If anyone got something similar to this, then I'd love to know about their experiences.

Site links can be managed in Google Webmaster Tools (but perhaps you know that already).

    So, it's either
    - some bug/glitch on behalf of Google
    - someone else has access to your Google Webmaster Tools account
    - You played with the feature in GWTs and perhaps forgot about it? (I do that sometimes, so saying )

A verified user - means they somehow verified themselves as a Webmaster of your site.
Have you observed any other changes besides that?
Like, search engine rankings going down or anything of the sort?
I'd post in Google Webmaster Central (unless you don't want a Google looking at your site)

I don't think anyone has access to that particular account and it clearly says that the "verified user" has done that particular thing (blocking/unblocking).

Can I block/unblock that sitelinks thing somewhere? Never used it before...

I didn't "play" with the features of the GWT.

No changes besides that message. No changes to pages indexed, nor traffic, nothing that I'm aware of.
