I got scammed, how do I get my money back?

Hello, I got scammed 40$ by someone 1 week ago, he had a unverified paypal also I think, so how do I ask PayPal for a refund? And I'll need to post some proof or anything? Never done this be4.

 

Don't panic...Just open a dispute.I think you can get your monry back..

 

Go in a resolution center of your PayPal and file a dispute there. If its a digital product then PayPal is likely to favor buyer only as seller won't be able to provide shipping proof. Tell PayPal that you purchased something from him and he did not ship the item, PayPal will ask him the shipping proof which he won't be able to provide and then PayPal will decide case in your favor.

If you have truly been scammed, open a dispute/charge back and I am cent percent sure that Paypal would give back your money!

As correctly advised by 'Radhika', open a dispute from the 'resolution centre' link in your Paypal account page. You do not require to submit anything except stating the fact of whatever transpired between you and your seller.

I bought an ultimate membership from a PTC site, well, they have paid 6$K so far but now they were gone when I requested 400$ as a payout... and now I want my money back ...

 

1 week ago? I think he already cashed the money and closed the account by now.
I don't really think you can get your money now.

Before it just take weeks I think before a dispute is finished ..But I think it is much better to open a dispute first so that you can recover your money and then if paypal needs for any documents you should present it to them ..Or perhaps when that time come that they are needing some proof better call paypal..

 

Hi as mentioned earlier , if u act within 10 days yours chances are high to recover the money. Raise a dispute, is the deal happened on DP pls write a mail to the webmaster and block the guy. As a policy never fall for all these Quick buck schemes and never trade witha guy who has 0 itrader.

PS - pls post the users name so that more users are safegaurded
