I don't want to tell yet, cause it is a site and it would bring the value of it down if I said the address... But basically it was supposed to be making like $60/day from YPN and $10/day from AS, but the first day I had it with me it made like $10 from YPN and $5 from AdSense...because the site still makes a decent amount of money even if it is not the promised I would like not to mention the site... Oh yeah also the guy didn't mention he was spending a shit load on AdWords Emil
That makes the story a bit different emil...originally I thought you didnt' get anything, now it turns out you did get something but just not what you thought what you had paid for. If pay pal considers it a service it has been a long standing policy of theirs that they do not backup services. I hate to say it but IMHO it is up to you to take it up with the seller, Pay Pal really is not to blame or at fault here. I know you wont like that, but it's the truth..
Hi, In this case, I am with Paypal.Man its not thier concern that you buy something and its not good its ur problem. So dont blame paypal please
Guys, I'm not blaming PayPal by any means for getting scammed, just their stupid policy took me by a shock, but this has very little to do with PayPal... Also it is a much worse circumstance then just the lower earnings, there were many lies about the site statistics and traffic source... Anyways I just started the thread when it hit me that I was scammed to see what I could do regarding PayPal to freeze his account or something but now that I realize tha PayPal has absolutely no protection for site, script, and pretty much anythin electronic buyers, I would think some other people also thought like me that they had protection for us but they don't, and actually not only do they not they don't even attempt to in the claim options if you select virtual goods as the discpute item type they automatically dismiss the case just like in my case, which to me I think is absolutely crazy considering how much business goes through PayPal that is selling websites, ads, and etc, with no protection! So from now on beware, if the guy asks for the money first before the site push just link to this thread, because a couple of other times that I have bought sites the seller has always said I should send payment first because I have more protection then a seller with PayPal, which couldn't be anymore false So just to anounce this from now on I pay after I get the goods... No more paying first bullshit...Cause if you think about it anybody here can make a site with fake statiscs and sell it, and by these PayPal policies if payment was sent first the seller could seriously completely ignore the buyer, even leave his money in his PayPal account, purchase stuff with that money and never get any punishement, think about that before you buy anything with paypal even if it is like $100 not $5K it would completely suck... Emil
Well that is just dumb! No offense man- but your money isn't protected at all in a PayPal account. I transfer my money out of paypal as soon as I reach a certain point....$200. http://www.paypal.com/us/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=p/gen/ua/policy_closing
Damn dude, so they can just take disable my account and not give me my money, that can't be right PayPal does suck if that is for real, I would sue the hell out of them if they took that...No way...thats theft...I dont know what to think never thought PayPal would do that, thanks Rob now I have this to worry about
Don't mistake your PayPal account for a bank account, it is not. You don't get any kind of protection you do in bank accounts. Look at it as a crediless credit card, don't keep there money you have no intention using in the next couple of weeks. Don't let money just sit there. Maybe things will start to improve when Gbuy will be public.
Your PayPal account is not approved with a bank account? How come you can transfer that kind of money without an approved account?
You can use a credit card instead, and if you don't have a regular credit card, you can get a prepaid one from Western UNion.
I've used my account until I couldn't transfer funds anymore. Adding a credit card didn't do it, I had to verify a bank account as well.
xxxxx account It was pretty funny when I called the PayPal support the woman was like, "Sir, what's your name?" and I had to answer...."xxxx"
