    hello all,,
recently i sold one of my forums to a guy NOT ON DP..he promised to pay and change the passwords of the forums..
and we dealt on the fact that he will shift the forums to his own hosting..
    but look what he did..!!

he paid 1000$$ from his credit card and then got the passes..and changed them..
changed the hosts immediately in one day and then fired a CHARGEBACK on my paypal.
now the paypal of mine stands at a NEGATIVE BALANCE of --970$$ ..

what to do ,, if ever i can do anything..??

I LOST THE FORUMS,, THE DATABASE ,, THE $$..
i answered to paypal resolution..sent all the pics of what happnd ,,explained them ,,but all went in vain and i got a negative paypal..
    what to do..??

Get the domain back from your registar asap. At least you get something back and hopefully restart the fourms asap. Maybe your old host has a backup.

Not sure about paypal, as per they are hard to predict.

In the claim write to PayPal stating that he purchased intangible items, (IE, you cannot hold/touch them) and that you passed over all information (user, pass words etc.) and PayPal will decide the claim in your favor, this is because PayPal doesn't provide any buyer protection for intangible goods. Also upload information, such as the statements showing that you did actually own the forums etc. and PayPal will easily side with you...

As a writer, I regularly visit writer's forums where they post names, URLs, and other information about people who scam writers much the same way this guy scammed you. Perhaps there should be a thread to that effect here, so folks can be aware of who to trust and etc. I know I would appreciate that information.

Offline business can suck, too. It just sucks slower than online business, which - in some ways - may be more satisfying for someone.

Also in the mean time find another way to recieve payments.. if your busines depends on it.. becasue paypal will hold all incoming money till it is rectified..

And you dont want to lose double the money..

    besides that good luck..

    i never wanna loose money..
no one wants to..and i was unaware the facts of chargeback..
and i did one thing..i immediately removed the funds to other account..and withdrew all funds..

but what happnd is that when paypal tried to cash the funds and give to me..
THEY WERE REJECTED BY THE CREDIT CARD DUE TO CHARGEBACK..
NOW MY CHEQUES WERE REJECTED && I GOT NOTHING..

AND now the accounts to which i sent the funds for withdrawals..THEY ARE ALSO LIMited..
all gone ..THREE ACCOUNTS LOST , MONEY GONE..
THE DOMAIN REGISTRAR cant do anything..the domains moved to new..
    hosting changed..
    all lost..
    MORAL OF THE STORY --
NEVER DO ANY TRANSACTION WITH PAYPAL..

    ..not this big at least..
I LOST ALL,, BUT NOW I THINK WE SHOULD BE MORE CAREFULL

I LOST THE FORUMS ,, LOVED THEM ,,SPENT SEVEN MONTHS BUILDING IT..
EARNED AROUND 10-15 $$ PER DAY FROM THEM..
HOPE THE NEW OWNER WORK HARD ON IT..
SORRY WONT REVEAL THE DOMAIN NAMES HERE..
