Hello everyone, I bought an iPhone off a guy and paid $600 with my Personal PayPal account. It's been 1week and I haven't heard from him about the Shipping Info. Now, I've opened a dispute in PayPal and don't know if I will get my money back. I have used Credit Card for the payment. The guy says he is from US but I think he is from India. Coz later on I tried to send one small amount to check what paypal shows and it says IN unverified. Can I do anything to get my money back ? It's a lot of money for me...

Show every proof you have to Paypal. This could include but not limited to chat conversations, e-mail exchanges, website, etc.

    Best of luck!

Well, if you paid it from your CC then you can get it. :)
Simply ask your credit card company to do a chargeback.

Well only problem could be that that person has already withdrawn the money and now if your cc company does chargeback then your paypal account could have problems as paypal cannot do any chargeback. Well i hope you get your money back soon from those scammers.

Contact PayPal and dispute the charges. They will immediately freeze the sellers account until the problem is resolved.

if you paid by cc best is to do a charge back. Dispute is not that great to help you in this case. even if u win the dispute yo may not get money if paypal not able to recover money from that guy. so best is to do a charge back with cc company ( or bank )

an unverified paypal account in india cannot hold 600$.

a max. transaction of 500$ is only available....
and as far as my guess is right there is an option where you can report the scam at paypal.

I'm sure you will get back your money

but if his account balance goes above 500$ the he has to get it verified....or he can't use it - either withdraw or spend.

You will definitely get your money back by contacting your credit card company for a charge back on the said payment.
My suggestion: never but iPhones online. Just buy it on local stores. It is much safer that way.

local stores...what if there's no store selling iPhone around. you know iPhone and gadgets like that are not available in every country. so if they want it, they resort to buying it online...
    not his fault.
