hi there i have a google campeign for 14 days and the scores are to bad i guess the impression is 7547 and the clicks are only 23 ! i have 15 different ads and each one with a least of 30 different keywords how can i make it much better ? i need much more clicks in my site
I have seen someone suggest that for every keyword or keyphrase use these three permutations: blue widget "blue widget" [blue widget] Don't forget to use singular and plural, and use the Adwords keyword tool to come up with variations and alternate ideas you may have missed. I started out with about 30 I thought of by myself, then expanded using the above techniques to over 1,300. While not every one of 1,300 was a winner, several hundred were. Then pare away the innefectual ones.
Definitely need to quit shooting in the dark and do some real Adword research. There are some great books out there for this just search for them. It sounds like your ads are not targeted enough at all! chad

This is a very common question. I would recommend you get Andrew Goodman or Perry Marshall's books, or sign up for our free guide that covers these issues (see signature for link).
That depends if you are offering something free or not. For example, if your keyword is "legal advice" and you, by the goodness of your heart, have a site for genuine, free legal advice, you would certainly put that in your ad, on your landing page, and bid on that keyword. However, if you do not offer free legal advice, you would not even want your ad shown for the keyword in the first place--which could happen if you've broad matched "legal advice." So, to make sure that doesn't happen, you would add "free, cheap, discount" etc. to your negative keywords. Otherwise, you'll get useless clicks or you will dilute your ctr with useless impressions and no clicks.
Use the keyword sugestion tool, this will help.. I've been reading this article and found it quite interesting, http://www.webpronews.com/ebusiness...0502164StepstoaSuccessfulAdWordsCampaign.html
Ah yes. If you are actually using "free" as a selling point, then of course my previous advice would not apply. Moneyfolk: yes, the minus sign in "-free" does denote a negative keyword, that is the syntax used in adwords (without the quotes, of course).
