Hi all, It prolly isnt a big deal to all of you, but to me it was a huge boost to the moral if ya know what I mean. Recently I was contacted by the Reno Gazette Journal about my orginization (I am a political activist) and was surprised to be awakened one Saturday morning at about 4:00 am with a "Hey man, your on the front page". Anyway, here is the article. Just thought I would share it. By the way, I am the guy on the left with the backwards hat.
HA! Really cool photo and well done you! It is a big deal and it must feel great to know that you are making a difference. Whether I agree with your politics or not, I have to say well done guy.
Cool, congrats. I was in an English newspaper once. But not for my political activating. It was for Beach Babes in Essex. Slightly different I suppose. Bo Selectatatataaaa.
It feels great ain't it? Frontpage pic of you. I suggest you print it big and frame, and put it on the wall. It gives you bragging rights to your future grandchildren I had similar experince before but forgot to print n frame it. Now i regretted it!
Squaw is nice but there are plenty of smaller places. On the west shore I really like Homewood..... a lot of the runs face the lake......... what a view. Yes, Truckee is a lot cheaper.
I thought it was Eminem & his minder. Great pic, and great article. I was on the front page of our paper once, AND it was for a single word keyword GUILTY! <joke>
Thanks! Just for the record, my politics are simple. ~I want to invest my own social security ~I want my tax dollars going toward MY health care, good roads, good military, etc. Not be given to Jim next door who plays golf while he collects government handouts. Some need help, most do not. ~I feel the government should really stay out of my business unless I am harming others ~I am an unabashed capitalist. If you can make money, then by all means, please do. Well there is more, but that is the most important to me. The basic foundation of my desire is: a) Lower taxes b) Smaller Government c) Less regulation Truckee is WAY over priced. Besides that, who wants to pay state taxes and $500.00 a year to register a vehicle? On the Nevada side of the state line you pay NO state taxes and I am getting the $80.00 I paid to register the firebird back on a refund taking place this year. Move to Reno, its a happening place. Already done. I go to Boreal. Its for snowboarders mostly but I ride and Im cheap. Hmmm... I dont really like rap, but I can see where you are coming from.
Congratulations! I was in a newspaper too years ago, when I won a pig (yes, a pig - the animal that oinks) on a radio contest
My kind of Republicans No girlie men, no aroma therapy! Congrats on the story. I hope you achieve your goals and get change going in the right direction.
