Well i just got my wisdom teeth out (all 4 of them). They gave me 20 pills of vicodin. I'm going to test myself and see if I can go without them. I have a few people wanting to buy them from me for like $5 / pill. What's so great about them? (Btw, i'm still a little loopy, so pardon any mistakes)
Looking at Wikipedia it doesn't seem there's that much good about them apart from their potency against pain: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vicodin I'll be saving my $5 because some of the side effects are a concern.
I wouldn't use them, they're adictive. Take some paracetamol or ibuprofen mixed with nimesulide for example and sell the vicodin to the junkies
Hmm :/ I got two coming at the moment, pretty much out, and didn't notice much pain.. or anything really.
It's hydrocodone and acetaminophen. They want the hydrocodone. hehe I just got over an absess and had them. They work fantastic for pain and come with a nice buzz.
They definately work, but they make you feel sick after about a half hour of the buzz, and last about 4 hrs.
They don't bother me at all. I like the buzz. But the brother drug oxycotin gets me so sick to my stomach that it's worse then the pain it may have been used to cure in the first place.
When my sister had two of hers out, we left dentist office to go shoe shopping. She breezed through it!
When I was in the military - they pulled my wisdom teeth out. They just gave me 800Mg Motrin (they handed that stuff out like candy). Vicodin is hydrocodone, a step below oxycodone and a step above Tylenol 3 (codeine). It hardly does nothing for me unfortunately. It is easier to get though than Percocet (something that I usually have to to go to the doctor and pick up the prescription). When I had my hernia surgery last year, the percocet did not even touch the pain. People have different levels of pain and some respond differently to the drugs Back then I took a motrin before the procedure and then one about two hours later. I was fine.
Ibuprofen tends to be more effective with tooth and mouth pain than anything else although they need to be taken with care or they make you really ill. If you can do without the painkillers, great. If not, take the vicodin as directed and fill in the spaces with ibuprofen (remembering to read the instructions carefully, of course).
Ya very addictive, ever seen House? I had a bottle of percocet after my hernia surgery, they helped with pain somewhat but mostly made me feel sleepy and nauseous, so I basically slept for a few days.
Tylonol is easy to overdose on. It takes like 4000mg to kill your liver and then you. It's common for teens to fake an OD for attention with tylonol and not survive the incident. Dangerous stuff. Like the commercial says, if you are not going to take tylonol according to the directions, please don't take it at all.
Ah, thats nothing! I had all 4 pulled, AND 13 cavities filled at the same time. The DOC gave me a discount on the I.V. Bag and only charged me for one instead of two lol. He gave me oxy-codine, but I needed all of them. I have a very high tolerance to pain, but I had to have them surgically removed. They actually cut the gums and dug them out. One of them was bone impacted on one of my back molars as well. It was so funny, I couldn't have been more out of it. For instance, when I first got home I tried to drink out of a glass of water and poured it all down front of my shirt. I then went outside to work on my brothers car stereo and upon coming back in the house I tripped over that little "step up" in doors that create the seal at the base and proceeded to smile, look at it and point and say "heheheheheh steppie uppie". My brother looked at me, shook his head and said "crack head", lol. Needless to say, it was not a pleasent experience for me, but everyone got good laughter at me trying to do my every day things being completely high off of the codine. They tell me I was talking out loud and yelling at the computer when I was trying to program....
