I bought this domain extension when I notice that this website was going to be popular and soon will expand to my country. But the problem is I'm not sure is illegal for me to keep it? Can I sell this domain to them? or they can sue me for keeping it? PS. They already owned .com and .org...Thanks:)

no one would have a clue unless you listed the domain...you have trademark domains, then you
have domains that are generic in nature...

    Trademark domain: ebay.com

    Generic domain: sex.com

I wouldn't shoot off an offer to sell to them if I were you.
It could be seen as constituting bad faith.
I'd be careful about the statements you make canon about how or why you registered it etc.
Of course you probably have a business plan for this domain name right?
You were inspired to register this particular word because......................................................
    This is not legal advice.
