I have got lots of infraction recently and I was banned few times and my threads were closed.

I don't know why. This forum is not that mean a few months ago.

Are we not allow to reply to questions or conerns in our own threads??

We have been participating in this forum and I have liked it as I thought this forum is not that mean. Now my opinions have changed.

For example, if I am selling a domain name, I could not edit my first post like I do at Dnforum as DP closed the posts after some time. Therefore if I reduce the price of domain name, I have to create another post. But I got infractions for this.

I am not sure how to proceed here.

I think forums are community and it represents some form of freedom I think. Moderators should not be showing so much power. If I got infraction for starting this thread, let it be. I am just talking about my own opinion. This is general chat forum and we should be allowed to chat about our concerns.

Otherwise I will have to contact the forum webmaster about moderators abusing their positions. Why I can't reply other people in my own thread. Are we just supposed to start a thread and no more posting in that thread???

Where is it mentioned? In FAQs? or Forum Rules? Did they mention we could not post or start threads about our concerns on infractions?

    Here

    http://forums.digitalpoint.com/faq.php?faq=dp_faq#faq_infractions

This is forum rules and FAQs of forum webmaster. I could not find any rules about getting infraction for making new threads on infractions. Are moderators making new rules themselves?

How do I find out about who give me infractions which I think are not appropriate? I would like to mention it to the webmaster of this forum. Those moderators who give inappropriate infractions should be reviewed by webmaster.

It does seem like a lot more people are getting banned nowadays. I wonder why. There should be a way to see why the person was banned, if only so us others can know what not to do.

Do not start a thread about infractions. 99% off the people that do it are simply playing dumb and wasting the time of moderators. Starting a "Wah! I got an infraction!" thread will probably lead to another infraction.

Who wrote this? Only a moderator making its own rule? I don't think it is the webmaster's thread.

I am just suggesting to open the domain name subforum for people to be able to edit it at any time like Dnforum and namepros. I used to enjoy here alot before, but since I got banned for about 2 months for my domain thread, I have been enjoying at Dnforum and namepros.

I think this forum got new moderators who like to abuse their positions. I just want to know who gave me infractions. I also like to know the person who close down my thread.

Before I got banned 2 months ago, I was thinking to donate $500 to digitalpoint at http://www.digitalpoint.com/tools/donate.html . But I got banned and it just stopped me to do it. I think if there are moderators who are abusing their postions in this forum, it is not good for the forums in the long run as people will shift from here to other forums.

I understand there will be some support center where we could complain about the moderators. Do you know any phone number or email address. Is the contact on homepage of digitalpoint support center for forums as well?

It seems like the mods are extremely sensitive when it comes to infractions.

They made the "Wah I got an infraction" rule for a reason, and that was to control the excessive amounts of infraction complaints coming in to the forums. Moderators are issuing infractions because its their job to keep people in line. I respect them for their decision to hand out infractions, even if its for the dumbest thing. A forum this size, they're doing a GREAT job.

You must have violated the rules for them to give you an faction. They don't just give them because they are board..

But I would expect that you get another one for starting this thread.

Actually the moderator team has an excuse to be so strict about infractions. You know, I just look at the stats, and that is not easy thing to moderate a forum with 600-700 members online, more than 150k members, and hmm.. all the new fake / duplicate / spamming accounts that being created..

I just browsed the spy for fun just a few minutes.. there was a new action in the forum in average every one second or less.

So I think all excuse to mods handling such huge forum.

They can't just make their own rules and make their posts sticky/announcement without the consent of Shawn, owner of Digitalpoint. So..

Mods don't give infractions without any reason.IMO you didn't get infractions because of replying in your thread. You must violated any rule. You need 10 infractions to be banned and that much infractions are hard to gain.I got some infractions for posting incomplete/irrelevant posts in my early days.I know those were my faults and I never opened threads on that.Mods try hard to keep this forum running smoothly. We should appreciate them.

i think there are 25 mods or less but the number of members is more than 50000.so i think some mistakes do happen but i would say they do not abuse their power.
