There is not tremendous content on this site, I am experimenting on getting it highly ranked so the posts are geared towards that. However, Im not getting decent page visits (never mind A.S. clicks) http://liposuction-nyc.blogspot.com/ Any ideas? Its ranking first page for two diff phrases? Thanks
It shows relevant ads. The small problem is that it is not so much a mass attracting topic, considering the fact that there is tremendous competition between webmaster, so you'll get small traffic but possibly high CPC.. It would be very difficult for a beginner to compete in such topics as health, finance, travel, etc.. If you really want to pursue that route then you need to get to the level of your competitors, that's the sad part about those topics. Good luck with that, I'm considering getting into those topics for the first time, but I have a plan involving other people because I know the competition between webmasters is very high, so that could work in my benefit.
getting ranked on front page doesn;t guarantee traffic. all depends on which position you rank and for what keywords. if the keywords don't have any search volume, then there will be no traffic. do some keyword research and try to find out exact search volume for the keywords you rank for.
The site looks a little bland and also i dont think that using Blogger does it any favours really,i would think the reason you are using Blogger is the fact that all the Premium domains have gone but i could well be wrong,if you have to use that platform maybe make it look better.Just my opinion of course and good luck with the site
There are only about 4-500 for the main kw. maybe thats too small. But I can't compete with some of the more general ones where its alot of professional SEO stuff. About the look of the site. I added a photo, but other than that I am not sure about how much visual noise I should have. I want the people to visit...then leave via an add so I'm not sure about how much to actually have on the site. Thanks for all who responded.
What keyword are you targeting? Change the header its way too big and means adsense is not displayed above the fold.
How many ad units eligible to place in my website and what type of ad units are good for higher earnings?
Above the fold for me is a pretty big turnoff in that I greeted by an image and an ad block, no actual content
I looked at your site and, though I don't like to say it, it was a bit of a turn off. Boob doctors in the Bronx? Not sure where you got your articles but they seem more like undergraduate humor than a serious discussion of lipo-suction. If you want to compete in a niche like this I would definitely give away the phrase "boob doctors". You are attempting to interest people who want breast augmentation, lipo-suction, body reshaping and serious surgery. Three articles chatting about "boob doctors" is not going to inspire confidence. Sorry for the negativity, but if I wanted bigger breasts I would not be taking advice from your site. I think you need to research and think a bit more deeply about your target audience.
Thanks for the comments. I had originally been trying to use NYC liposuction as a KW but the competition was intense. I found through Google KW Tool "Boob Doctors" I didn't think of it. As for actual content, I am really only experimenting, trying to get people to the page...then off the page via the ads. I had originally No Image...and very slim adsense text. I got critiques that it was boring....so I added the image and big adsense adds. I removed the image....how does it look now? I am keeping the text. I know it is nor "dry" but i am looking for people to bounce of the site via ads...not spend time reading the articles.
you really need to check what other similar sites' design, you really lack a sense of design. Either hire someone to help you with a design or find a better theme
If you are ranked for two phrases and still dont get a lot of visitors your are ranked for wrong search tearm. Just because you ranked for some long tail keyword doesnt mean it will earn you money. If your site is ranked in top 3 for that phrases sell it, create new site on wordpress and invest some money into seo and focus on quality, give some value to your readers.
Great keyword but there could be numerous authority sites on the front page of Google for that topic. Are you using any monitoring tools to check search volume, number of authority sites on the first page etc? Also in health, your site has to offer exceptionally good and original information that makes you stand out, otherwise ranking in itself does not necessarily equate to traffic.
Have you tried google insights in addition to adword keyword tool? It shows the popular searches for date periods and countries. Try it and make some combinaisons of different keywords and continue what you're doing of writing what goes through your mind, let your imagination go wild, you don't need to be a serious website about this topic. A bit of fun never killed anyone!
