I got slapped by Google but do not know why. Could you people take a look at my site and tell me anything that looks suspect.

All i can tell is that there is no meta description, google analytics is in the <head> not at the end of the page, text at page bottom is a bit spammy re. locations - prominent keywords are 'infiniti' and 'specials'. Neighbourhoods are ok, lots of indexed pages, cached within last month - has it been slapped?

How new is your site? My experience is that with newer sites Google has a way of "teasing" you by withdrawing your site entirely and then putting it back, etc. etc. from the results for a time before it firms up your position.

The site went through a redesign a few months ago......all was fine but then it totally dropped out of the Google SERPs. It still ranks well in Yahoo and Bing. and there is a meta descr. How about the white text at the bottom?

I redesigned a website which i had owned for 7 years, Google did not take kindly to this and sandboxed me for about 9 months, I am out now but it takes a lot of work to get back out. There are ways to avoid this happening but its too late now for you and it was for me. Depending on your subject area (how competitive is it?) then Google will make you wait it out for a length of time.

Hi I was wrong about meta desc, tjo I have checked your inbound (backlinks) and a majority seem to be 404'd!?

Maybe the tool was down...dunno! XML Sitemap included? I checked your robots.txt and not recognised the bots that are being disallowed. Other than that without looking in too much depth maybe it is as simstar suggests!

I had a similar thing happen to one of my websites when we totally re-did it. Google completely screwed us for about 6 months, then we worked our way back up...I don't think I ever got a good answer as to why, but I have heard of plenty of people lately that have the same story. I personally think Google is going through changes and things will settle with time.

Also I noticed that your H1 tags and text is structured right at the bottom of your code. Could this have an affect?

When you re-designed the site did you use the same urls or put re-directs in place?

I dont see a problem with the text at the bottom of the page.

    Have you lost any links?

I have more than 10 sites that are set-up the same way...with the footer text at the bottom and the H1 tag down there also. They have experience no such problems.

Sometimes, sites drop in SERP after changes are made. If a site have solid backlinks, then chances are that it will not drop in SERPs after making any changes to its design etc.

Anyway, I suggest that you wait for sometime, hopefully your site will come back to its previous place in SERP very soon.
