And you're not banned yet. It's really not rocket science, you know: Don't try to cheat the system and you'll be fine. Try to cheat the system and sooner or later you'll get caught and kicked.
And then you can come here crying "oh, I didn't do anything, google is bad, I'm going to sue them, I've sent them 3 emails and no response yet, bla bla bla..."
Seriously tho, guys. Do you really believe that EVERY SINGLE PERSON who complained about being banned for no reason is lying? I don't know...
I don't know, it's tough to say.. we all know what ASSUMING does, but seriously.. I'm sure a vast majority of those people were spending more time farming clicks than actually promoting the website - 100% though? No justice system is 100% perfect.
One thing you can be confident in is Google's anti fraud program is a good as it gets, 99.9%...maybe. The number doesn't really matter, I will agree with the general statement 'If you are cheating system you'll eventually get busted' Source
I am not saying that their detecting system isn't good, I'm sure they can detect everyone that is doing something wrong. What I'm saying tho, is that some of the people being flagged AREN'T doing something wrong. It's one of those things: everyone cheating is being punished, but not everyone being punished is cheating...
Yes, I think we all get that. But what is this based on? People who cheated, got busted, and want to know how to get back in... e.g., "Can I sign up a family member? If I do, can I put that person's AdSense ads back on my (banned) site?"
An opinion should at least have some reasoning in it or something to back it up... saying that Google banns people without any cause is just ridiculous Just go take a look at the WMW's adsense board... amazing how everyone that has posted there crying their innocence after being banned has always been uncovered as a lousy crook
With $342 mil made last quarter, even if they only spent 1% on fraud detection (when almost ALL their income comes from adwords/adsense) it would still be $14 mil a year.. And with all those programmers, im fairly sure their detection should be very good.
An opinion needs no reasoning. It's just that, an opinion. If I were trying to make an argument out of that opinion, ie trying to convince you of it, then yea, I'd need something to back it up. I'm not out to convince anyone, I'm just saying my opinion Yes, I do think some of these guys being banned might be innocent. Forgive me for assuming everyone is innocent until proven guilty, maybe the law system is wrong And by the way, I'm not saying they ban people without any cause, that makes me sound like I'm trying to portray Google as the bad guys. I'm simple saying they might make mistakes and eventually ban someone innocent. Even in a space mission mistakes are bound to happen, fry. Why not with Google?
No, fryman's right ( did I say that out loud?)... A statement based on some sort of data or observation or evidence, even if not verified, is an opinion. What you're talking about is speculation... that's quite different.
So that means you can approach someone and say "hey, you CANNOT have that opinion, being that you have no facts to back it up!" Sound bizarre, doesn't it? That's pretty much what you guys are doing.
And fryman, correct me if I'm wrong, but have you started acting aggressive towards me because of my opinion about Crazy Bob?
