No email, no msg, no nothing - I woke up today to see my digg account banned, my ip banned and all of my articles deleted. The articles where all very very popular and was my only means of traffic. My site is new and I am not even index by google yet so this is a giant blow. I just lost 400-500 visitors a day (which basically is all my traffic). What should I do? {update} new account, with proxy, and a new domain. And back to 1 digg overall
no big deal, just get a new account, i got banned a years and apply a new account the same day with the different ip address but if you url address is banned too that's another story
digg don't care, get a new account and everything will be all right! but then perhaps you should contact them, i have heard people getting un-banned after some time, but then if you can convince them!!
They dont like asking for diggs in public. Several old members here including myself was banned from DP several months ago. Digg staffs regularly visit DP to check for threads related to DIGG. My suggestion is get a new account with a different IP and never ever ask for digg in public. Another thing you can do is avoid digg completely.
Did you ever told someone to digg your site? Have you posted any live digg link on DP ? These may be the reasons for your ban..
I had to make another domain to foward to my actual domain and use a proxy just to digg my site again. I really really hate digg. But yeah I participated in digg exchanges on DP forum. I guess I shouldn't have posted the digg urls
This is the reason for your ban. Now learn from mistakes. I guarantee you digg can not stop you from using it. But, they can of course ban your URL. I don't think you will ever be allowed to use the url again. Two of my most promoted sites are banned in Digg ages ago.
IDENTICAL THING HAPPENED TO ME! I think what happens is they pick up multiple sumbmissions of the same article? I gave up on my blog =/
Sheesh I got ban and I never disclose my url in public. I was told to go and digg some so that way it wouldn't cause suspicion. I may have over done it..I think I done at least 20- 30 diggs. Me Bad!
My IP was once banned, but then about one month later they unbanned me and I had to make a new account.
well i can imagine that's a hard blow, losing all your traffic! just don't advertise your digg url anymore on forums to avoid getting banned!

I think instead of getting a new account from the same or even different ip address, the best it is to address them all what happened and maybe if ur not the culprit, u can get unbanned! but provided that it was not ur fault that led u to the ban!
I also got banned "Your account has been disabled due to misuse." I'm not sure what triggers the ban- Is it that I was digging too many sites very quickly? I didn't participate in any digg *exchange*, I just dugg a bunch others' sites.
