I got banned for not using Adsense?

Yes, sadly, my only method of revenue has left me. I havent used adsense in more than 3 weeks. They say I have gotten invalid clicks when I dont even have the code on any of my websites. The only place my code is on would be DigitalPoint. I have contacted Google. Do you think that will help me in any way?

They can ban you for not having enough traffic. The email you got is a standard canned email for getting banned.

 

Traffic? I stopped using adsense because I did not have time to keep it up on my sites and worry about it. I had $500 on it which I needed. :S

 

That is kind of funny. My AdSense account has been inactive for nearly 7 months (maybe an ad here or there, but no significant traffic), and I just started using it again perfectly fine.

Sonic is there any chance that you clicked ads in DP whilst not "logged in"?

If you are logged in you cannot click your own ads but if you are NOT logged in and click ads in a thread you started then you will be clicking your own ads inadvertantly.

Unlikely but a possible solution if DP is the only place carrying your ads.

Also remember that "invalid clicks" covers a lot of different things.

Finally if it was your only souce of income WHY were you not using for 3 weeks? Just curious

I do not click any google ads on DP just to avoid trouble. Also, I never browse DP when I am logged out

I was not using it because $500 is enough, I don't really need more. I am just a student.

yep, definately more to it, since they send out every month when reaching the $100 threshhold.

Since he said he hadn't used it in 3 weeks, i am guessing he made that $500(or 399.99) in a weeks time, and thus got banned for click fraud. And in no way shape or form will I ever believe that DP can get you $500 of clicks in a weeks or even years time from their revenue share program.

Something is definately fishy, and he just got caught cheating.

Also, this is the first time I have heard anybody mention that your Adsense account can be banned if you don't generate enough traffic. Of course, if this guy's made $500 he would be generating more impressions and clicks than a lot of webmasters here. Most webmasters here earn under $100, based on a poll we conducted. Then, he goes on to say that the ads weren't active for 3 weeks, only on DP. Most webmasters at DP usually make $1 or so a month, which is why I am using a charity's pub-id for my account at DP ...... Nothing here makes much sense ....

 

The real reason he got banned.
But so far, it looks to me like pure click fraud.

As pointed out, google sends out checks once you have earned $100.
So having $500 in the account, must mean that in less than a month that amount, or close to, was earned. And google checked the account before sending out the check and discovered it had to have been click fraud.
