I got a weird reference

    I was going over my traffic today and I got the following referer to my site (Hybrid Review). Does anyone understand where this is coming from: http://passport/news/06/nov/1130Hybrid_Study.asp

    I follow the link and I end up at windows live id login screen, but I can't follow the link back to its original source. Can anyone help me understand what's going on?

    Suspect it is an instance of referrer spam. You will find bots spamming programs such as Awstats. If it continues you may want to block via .htaccess.

    Maybe its that msn thing going around.

    I don't know anything really about it, I think it mentioned it produced lots of weird referrer stats
