That's awesome. I was actually planning on getting one when my brother gets back from Los Angeles. I wish you luck with this. ^_^
well, last year i went to gym for 2 days. thats it i never go back to gym. i usually walk afternoon for an hour, and i think thats enough for me
Protein bars are over priced and for the most part junk, they are not that high in protein and are often labeled as having much more protein than they actually have. A protein shake is a much better solution or chicken breat, etc. I do eat protein bars, but more for a sub to candy bars Woman for the most part do not get bulky, even if they try. Most also lift differently than guys, more for toning than gaining size.
Interesting blog you have there GRIM, hope you get to feeling better. I'm not even close to 300 on my bench yet. I can do my weight, which is pretty sad at about 140. But then again, I'm completely new to this. I'll get better!
Don't worry about your bench to much, I myself am getting stronger everywhere but my bench. Might have actually gotten a bit weaker on my flat bench, making gains on dead lifts, squats, shrugs, arnold presses, etc. It'll all come in due time
I've got a gym membership, but I only go on the weekends because I weight lift enough for football during the week.
Find something fun to do there for encouragement. Your excitement will only last so long. Like instead of running I prefer playing basket ball. As for lifting weights, look for a lifting schedule, your body is a science.
Well, this depends on your diet, if you have a good diet which contains a good amount of protien then you do not need any protien suppliment. But to be honest these suppliments are definately worth it, i have been taking them for a year and they have really helped me, i'll recommend you to get WHEY PROTIEN.
#1 Protein bars are totally different than whey protein. Yes they both have protein in the name, most bars have whey in them but the calorie to protein levels in bars are relatively low plus they are expensive. #2 Whey is best for after your workout, immediately after. It is a very fast digesting protein. #3 It is very hard to get enough protein if you're a serious lifter unless all you eat is chicken breast, fish, steak, etc. Even then it's very hard w/o a protein shake. #4 IMO drink a balanced protein shake. A good quality whey shake is 'ok' even better is a shake that has egg and cassein as well, high bcaa levels, glutamine, etc. There is more to a protein shake than 'whey' Personally I like and recommend for the price Syntrax far superior to a standard Whey Protein IMO.
There is one more which is in the top 5 these days. It's Cell-Tech Or Nitro-Tech . I have never used them, has anyone? Edit : More info about supplements here http://zafarahmed.com/?p=8
I think you can get then on a discounted price at www.bodybuilding.com. They are very expensive in my country.
Lord, the only supplements I use are Creatine Mono, Whey Protein, Omega 369s, Multis. You dont need superstacks to keep fit.
