I can't believe it, I actually landed a job for a company as thier head web and e-marketing guy! It's always been a hobby, but now it's reality! Self taught and love it, my dream job, lol... I look forward to learning a lot and sharing my experiences.

i had a full time job as a web developer, then i left and opend up my own. The good thing about working full time at a company is that you allways have work, the bad thing is some of the money goes to the agencie your working for. Opening your own.. Ok maybe you wont get work if you dont have the $$ to put into advertising ect.. But... If you know what your doing and can get top spot for the keywords in your area in search engines ect.. and you have a nice website with a nice portfolio then that means all the $$ out of a job will come to you.

    Any way mate, good luck!

I think that is awesome. I am also self taught (4 years now), and was recently offered a job as well. The only reason I didn't take it was because I have 5 websites of my own that I run and market. I thought that doing it for someone else, and doing it for myself would be too much webwork (I work 40-60 hrs per week just on my own sites).

Anyway, congratulations! I think is is an awesome career.
