I got a few domains (20-30?) that I do not want to "fully" develop. They can be categorized in 2 types: Type1: Totally or nearly unlisted in search engines Type2: With a few back links to medium indexing in search engines (under niche topics) I do not want to develop these sites ( I have other sites I want to spend my time on). Questions: Type2 sites: 1) For the ones with back links (Type2) can I recoup some of these back links and "ranking" with redirects to other sites (I want to develop) ? In other words, does redirecting carry any "indexing effect" to the site it redirects to ? I'm not interested in the little traffic they carry... 2) What is the best way to monetize the little traffic some get ? Type1 sites: 3) Is it worth developing some content (related to my main sites) and promoting then, to increase the back link to my main sites ? Does it work ? I'm sort of a newbie in this field (but technically literate), so any feedback, even unrelated to my specific questions, is welcome. I also am willing to spend/invest a little money (to save time) if there is a chance of recouping the money in some way. I'm also seeing this as a learning experiment. Thank you, Christophe D
I just park them on an account with a sitemap listing links to all domain names. Works well for building PR on the site untill you need them.
Hum... Anyone knows if their is a program like Adsense, that does not care if the traffic goes to 1 basic page with their ads ? The traffic is legit, I simply do not want to develop more then 1 basic page... Thanks, Christophe D
Personally, I would put up some basic content on each of these domains and build a handfull of backlinks to each one. Start the aging process on these domains, so that when you do want to use them, they are ready to rock and roll. Brad
