Hi there , Last christmas i got a cheque from Commission Junction for £800 and I waited untill the cheque cleared into my bank account and spent the money and then I phoned them and asked them why I got paid.

I signed up to their site and I didnt have any banners or anything on my site , so I don't know why they paid me money becouse I was not advertising there items

i phone them to try and find out where the banner was which was making money so I can put this banner all over the place and make more money :)

Then since phoning them I have not made anymore money

As anyone else had this same experance whereas you got paid and didnt know why ?

Honesty? Blowing the money first and then casually mentioning it? :D:D Well, in today's world I suppose that's more than some would do!

Though honesty is always the best policy - if nothing else this could come back to haunt you, they could take you to court for the money or something.

However, if they ARE paying out free money, I am interested :)

hmmmm........shouldn't have called them, huh? =)

from what products/services did you make the money from? I think you can see that when you log into your account in CJ, right?

If it was a cheque you received then you would have received it in the post, meaning they have your address and will surely try to recover the money.

I really can't imagine a company as meticulous as CJ making a mistake like that. You sure you didn't make any sales somewhere? Anyhow, that's a nice little windfall for you, who knows what policy CJ would have on issues like this.

I was about to say the same damn thing!!!
It happened to me as well but I kept quiet & received 2 cheques from another site that I knew was an error.

Needless to say, my bank account was very thankful.
