I got a boot virus

    i have a boot virus and i can get access to my hard drive. is it possible to fix this? it wont boot windows. i keep getting a blue screen. i even tried to put it on another pc as a slave drive and no access. how can i fix this. i have alot of files that i need and dont want to lose. i no i can dump the c partition and do a fresh install but i would loose everything. Someone help please

    Do one thing
    Go to your friends house and attach your HDD as slave to his PC.
    recover all the data.
    and then Make Format and do Fresh Installation .....

    Nah do not have to do that. They have disks that will boot your comp. BartPE is free and works great they will run anti virus also. Just make sure that whatever you do next time you run the computer you have anti virus installed.

    thanks but i tried attaching it to a friends pc as a slave and it would let us access the drive. it didt show up. windows will not boot. it wont even boot in safemode

    if your problem is not from BIOS, try a full format of your hdd.
    If the problem is from BIOS, buy another mainboard or get another pc...there is nothing much you can do.
