I got #4 On Google In A Large Keyphrase...

My blog, http://mudac.wordpress.com is #4 in a keyphrase with almost 2mil participants. I have no idea how this happened, it amazes me. This blog hasn't been advertised at all and is less than a month old.

Do many people search for that though? I rank #5 out of 6,800,000 results, but it only brings me 70-100 visitors a day.

 

So far I haven't seen much gains, but hey... it suprised me. I would think it would be a decent sized search, a lot of people hate war lol.

yeah but, the quotation marks make it look worse (less results because of a specific phrase)-- although you pose a good point. Why ruin my fun?

 

Main thing is keyword competitivness. some times searches don't not matter.

Main thing is how many Quality Hits + Quality visitors are you getting on Your Business site = MORE success SEO + More Business From your website

If you provide great content other people will link to you which will
improve your rankings in the serp, but it also depends on how competitive
the keyword is.

 

I remember reading somewhere that 0nly 10 percent of the people look beyond 1st result in google. If #5 brings you 100 visitors, that mean more than 5000 people really search for that term and go straight to first result.
