ranking 2nd out of 800,000 pages for someone as well known as he is, is a huge accomplishment.

if you had to compete with 1,000 people who knew how to optimize in there own way. Getting 1st would still be a big deal if its something that was hard to find and brought in money.

Well done in getting to position 2.

I for example got to number 1 a few weeks ago, and for my keyword, I was number 1 out of 6.59 million results.

Obviously something has happened as i am now at number 2 (after being at number 1 for 3 years!)

Am fixing this at present, and will be back at one again soon

I honestly don't think this keyword phrase (even in #1 position) would bring in more than 5 visitors a month. Maybe Packers vs Giants would bring in a little more (which will die off fast). Not to mention that right now abcnews.go.com is listed as #2 in Google for that phrase.

For example, the keyword phrase: "I like hot dogs" has 6,450,000 results. The results for a keyword phrase have ABSOLUTELY nothing to do with how many times a search is done for a keyword phrase. Do you really think someone would target this phrase? I know that with a little SEO and anchor text backlinks, anyone could get to #1 for that phrase in less than a month. Probably much, much sooner.

 

I have to beat 45,400,000 people for my key phrase google games im trying to rank for so far im page 2, but page 1 and # 6 on some countries

i bet i will, just need to keep making more and more edits on the seo side of my site. so far i have done all most tricks on my site just need to wait for google to see my newest backlinks might take a month to reach
