from research here and there i get 10-30 pr4+ expiring in few days domains everyday. I am new to all this domain business and i want to make most efficient use of that domains. I check them if fake PR or sth and after making sure the domain is worth i will backorder them, now i have a question for you: 1-Whats the best place for backorder? 2-What determines if i get that domain or no? 3-If I do backorder but dont get domain where will my money go? 4 And finally, thanks in advance to everyone who informs me here
There are many places to get a backorder from. I recommend SnapNames.com as they are the most successful in capturing names. You basically bid $60 or more for a name. If you were the only bidder, you get the name and they charge you $60. If they dont get the name you dont pay anything. However, if multiple people all bid on the name then it goes into auction. The cheapest place to get backorders is GoDaddy.com. Keep in mind you get what you pay for. Their backorder service isnt that great. You pay $18.95 up-front and you *might* get the name. If you don't, then you can assign that backorder to a different name. Godaddy has an auction site for names that expired out of their customers accounts. TDNAM.COM you can find many names that are expiring and have PR. As you are buying the names before they get released back to the registry, the domains keep their age.
thanks, but is not $60 expensive? and why does snap you the domain where godaddy does not? is it the more you pay the more chances you have
If you are finding that many a day then I GUARANTEE most of them are fake. Ive done this for awhile and you need to be extremely carefull. I dont mean to insult you but please read my post on how to properly check for fake PR domains. Could save you a lot of money.
i know aaron, after automatic scan i check high PR myself for google cache and remove the fake ones from the list immediately. almost half of them come out to be fake.
OK. As long as you are going on to the page where it says the link is and actually finding the link on that page your good. Thats where most people get screwed since the majority of expired domains with PR dont have any more links left but some still show up.
