That is when it happens to when the server is being hit hard so it makes sense ... but I dont know much about servers like that Man I seriously doubt it I got a scans before it even boots up and another that constantly scans and 3 other very good pieces of software to check it
it happens to most of apache+mysql but it is a rare case in a server with a normal traffic. But frequent in a high traffic site but with less capacity, as sometime we can observe here in DP, and maybe that is the reason why they are on a fund raiser for a new server. DP Fund Raiser
Old thread here I know, but I thought I would offer some helpful information. Whenever the server is experiencing slowdowns, Firefox sometimes opens the download dialog when you click on a link on DP. The file is the php of whatever you click on (most of the time it's showthread.php). DP is not the only site this happens to me on, but it gets alot of slowdowns during the busier times of the day. I think it's an issue with Firefox though. However, I can't seem to make it stop, but I refuse to use IE.
